Through the Treasure Ships app, explore the history behind timeless artworks on display in the Treasure Ships exhibition at the Art Gallery of Western Australia 10 October 2015 - 31 January 2016. This is the first exhibition in Australia to present the complex artistic and cultural interactions between the East and the West from the 1500s to the 1800s – a period known as the ‘Age of Spices’.
Journey by sea and navigate a map to discover and learn about selected artworks from the exhibition and complete mini trivia questions. These artworks are rarely-seen and are now viewable on your device, there are 14 included on your map to explore.
If you are at the exhibition, use this app to scan and add more artworks to your map, there are 13 more to discover.
